Short Story Challenge Week # 2

cropped-shortstoriespic.jpg

Hello readers,

It’s that time of the week again, so without further ado let me present to you the criteria for this weeks Short Story Challenge!

So, the goddess of good fortune smiles upon me this week as I received not only one, but two requests for this weeks criteria, both through twitter.

Going forward, I ask that all requests be made in the comment section so that other readers may vote for their preferred criteria. The request with the most votes will be the set upon criteria for the week (provided it isn’t something unreasonable, or highly offensive).

But as there were two, and only two requests, I thought I would post both criteria. This way, both individuals who made the requests can take part without feeling as though they must adhere to their own criteria.

So here we go!

Criteria A

Hero: A Guest

Villain: Clerk

Setting: A motel

Theme: Until death do us part

Genre: Horror

Criteria B

Hero: Blacksmith

Villain: The Queen

Setting: Castle and surrounding area

Theme: Betrayal

Genre: Fantasy

As per last week, the rules are simple. Starting today, the deadline for the short story is Friday night at 5pm (17:00) (EST). For all who participate, I will create a separate section in my blog for submissions either linking readers to your own blog, or posting the entire short story (with credit to the author).

Happy writing!
